Alaska 2018

We’ve had a great summer in Alaska so far, 3 weeks to go before heading back to Michigan to chase Kings and Steelhead. The King fishing up here was fantastic this year, we had record shattering runs of sockeye and now we are into egg fattened rainbows, beautiful colored up dollies and as many silvers as you can cast a fly at. Here are just a couple pictures to highlight the summer fun.

Muskegon River Steelhead

Ed and Fritz got out today to enjoy the warm weather.  We found enough fish to keep us interested.  The calendar says winter is coming to an end and that means more boat traffic.  If anyone wants to get out and enjoy steelhead fishing before the boat hatch there’s still time.  Here are a couple fish from today.

Winter Steelhead

Today almost seemed like summer after a 3 week deep freeze.  Or was it 3 months?  Either way it felt like way too long between fishing trips.  The fishing was good today, I think we got on some fish that have not been harassed in a while.  Here are a couple of the fish Ed and Fritz put to the boat.
