April Steelhead

Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River has been good.  Water level is about 5,000 cfs with some color and water temp is cold for this time of year in the low to mid 30's.  There are more Winter fish around right now than anything but a few fresh fish are in the system.  Look for a good push of bright chrome Steelhead once the ice comes off Croton pond allowing water temps to rise in the river.  We have been catching most of our fish back bouncing and float fishing with eggs but plugs have taken some nice fish as well.  Steelhead fishing should be excellent well into May this year so there is still time to get a day booked.  Here are a few pictures of fish we have caught recently.
