Muskegon River Winter Steelhead

Steelhead fishing is still going well for us.  There have been some great days mixed in with the good ones.  Water level is starting to drop again but the Christmas rain and snow melt gave us some much needed water.  There are good numbers of Steelhead in the river and fishing should remain good until we go into another deep freeze.  Below are a few pictures of fish we've caught the last couple days.

Steelhead

Steelhead fishing has been good for us lately.  Warmer air and rain last night and this morning has the river on the rise with a good amount of color.  Chuck had a pretty good day today putting a good number of nice fish in the net.

Merry Christmas

Ed and John joined me again today for a quick morning trip and the fish were on the bite!!  I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, be safe and enjoy.

Winter Steelhead

Had a great 2 day trip with Tommy and Rich from Missouri.  These guys did a great job learning how to float fish and back bounce for Steelhead even though they are bass fishermen,  haha.  This little break in the frigid temps has been great and it looks like it's here to stay for a little bit at least.  We should see water levels bump up a bit with melting snow and possible rain in the forecast so we should have some great fishing thru the new year.  Here are a couple of the fish these boys caught the last couple days.

December Steelhead

Steelhead fishing as expected, has been on fire so far in December!!  I still have some dates available before Christmas so get ahold of me soon if you want in on the action.  Below are just a few of the fish caught lately.
