Salmon

Salmon fishing has been pretty good overall for us so far this season.  We have been hooking good numbers of fish most days, mainly float fishing.  Water temp is finally on the drop with the cooler weather we've had lately.  There are good numbers of fish moving thru the system and if you land on an area they are stopping to rest it can be game on.  Here are a couple recent pictures of the Kings we've been catching.

It's good to be back home and catching Kings on Michigan rivers.  The fishing is not red hot but there are some fish willing to bite.  Water temp is a bit high so some cooler weather will be welcome.  here are a few fish from my first two days back home from Alaska.

Alaska 2015

Had a great season in Alaska.  The weather and fishing were outstanding and the summer seemed to go by too quickly.  I am back in Michigan chasing Salmon around the rivers hoping for cooler weather.

Fishing was very good today, Rick and Fred had non stop action.

Spring Steelhead

It felt more like winter than spring out there today. Steelhead fishing is good, water level is around 3,000 cfs. With just a little color. Fish can be found in all types of water and eggs are on the menu.  Ed and Fritz are pictured with a couple of their fish from today.

Steelhead fishing has been good lately. Water level has dropped to around 3,000 cfs. And is pretty clear. We have been catching good numbers of fish float fishing and back bouncing and we are catching a good number of chrome fish.  Here are some of the fish we've caught the last few days.
