Muskegon River Fishing Report

Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River was great again today, we had every type of weather you can imagine from sun to rain then sleet and snow back to sun.  The water is up (3,000 cfs.+) and has very nice color, this should make for some fantastic fishing to come, as many of you who have fished with me know higher colored water is my favorite conditions.  Today we found a good mix of chrome fish and others that have been around a bit longer with some nice color, the higher water should move some fish around and we already know it is bringing new fish from the lake.  We had the river to ourselves today, boat traffic could go either way this weekend, either everyone will hit the water before deer season or they will be getting ready for hunting, time will tell.  Craig Dale and Keith are pictured below with a few nice Muskegon River Steelhead caught back bouncing spawn today.
