Guide's day off

Hit the lower Pere Marquette River today with a couple buddies and the fishing was outstanding!!   We had no boat traffic to deal with and the fish bit everywhere we stopped.  This fishery is an option for my guide trips on occasion but since it is a smaller system it cannot handle being fished as hard as the bigger rivers like the Muskegon and Manistee.  Kris, Jim and myself are pictured with a few of many Steelhead from today.

Muskegon River Steelhead

Tom and Jim had a very productive half day Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River today.  The fresh snow we had on the ground this morning was a nice change of scenery and makes for some great Steelhead pictures,  here is a couple of Tom and Jim's from today.

Michigan Steelhead Fishing

Fall Steelhead

Steelhead fishing was great today, the bite was on fire early in the morning and steady throughout the day.  There are some bigger fish around right now and the upcoming winter months can produce some of the biggest of the year.  Ed is pictured with a couple from the morning and Jackie from a quick afternoon trip.

Muskegon River Steelhead Fishing

Steve is pictured with a couple of the Steelhead he caught today, fishing was good.  Everyone have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving, reports will resume friday.

Muskegon River Fishing Report

Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River has been good for us despite the extremely low and clear water conditions.  Some days require more patience than others but the end result has been good each day.  Fred and Don are pictured below with a few of today's Steelhead.

 Steelhead fishing was very productive today, Ryan and Justin did a great job hooking a bunch of Steelhead their first time backbouncing.  Great fishing and lots of laughs, looking forward to fishing with you boys again soon.

Muskegon River Fishing

Steelhead fishing was great today for Gary and Mark.  These guys picked up the backbouncing technique pretty quick this morning and when the fish decided to bite it was game on.

Muskegon River Steelhead

Despite the low clear water conditions Steelhead fishing has been great for us on the Muskegon River.  There are good numbers of chrome fish in the system along with the colored up ones that have been here a while.  Ed is pictured with a sample of each from this morning.  I have November 27 open for anyone looking to get on the water.

Steelhead

The boys from Indiana had a great day on the Muskegon River catching Steelhead today.  The fish we hooked today were on fire making some long runs with a few nail biters taking us dangerously close to the timber, while we won plenty of the battles we also lost our share of good ones.  Jack, Hank and Steve are pictured below with a couple of today's Steelhead.  I have November 25, 27 and 29 open for anyone looking to get out.

November Steelhead

Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River was great today.  Ed is pictured below with a couple fish from this morning and Jackie with a couple from this afternoon.  It's last minute but I had a cancelation for tomorrow if anyone wants to get out.  I also have November 25, 27 and 29 open.
