Guide's day off

Hit the lower Pere Marquette River today with a couple buddies and the fishing was outstanding!!   We had no boat traffic to deal with and the fish bit everywhere we stopped.  This fishery is an option for my guide trips on occasion but since it is a smaller system it cannot handle being fished as hard as the bigger rivers like the Muskegon and Manistee.  Kris, Jim and myself are pictured with a few of many Steelhead from today.
