Muskegon River Steelhead Fishing

Ok,  Let's hope that was the last deep freeze for the winter and spring is going to show up.   It was great to be on the river in the sunshine and 40 degree temps we had this afternoon, it did not start that way though.  The river was a massive slurpee machine this morning with single digit air temps.  With a frozen kicker motor this morning the water pump impeller broke when I started it so we went to our back up plan plug fishing.  We didn't have much trouble getting rods to buckle and put some decent fish to the net.  Kicker motor is fixed so it's back to plan A tomorrow.  I have a very limited number of full day openings for this Spring but a few more options for afternoon half day trips so call or e-mail sooner than later to get your days booked.  (616)204-4999  jeff@muskegonriverguide.com
